Google Adsense Auto Ads not working on Blogger blogs

Google recently introduced Auto Ads to allow Google to automatically publish ads on websites. The advantage for website owner is the ease of Google Adsense implementation, ad optimization as Auto ads will identify any available ad space and place new ads there, potentially increasing your revenue.



But, Google Adsense Auto Ads does not work with Blogger Blogs, another Google Product. (as on 2 June 2018).

In case, if you are not satisfied with the default notification and you want to apply your own cookie notification, you can do so following the below steps.

How to add a cookie consent notification to Blogger?

  • Save
  • You may keep the gadget anywhere
  • Save Arrangement
  • View your blog to check out the cookie notification.

How to add a cookie policy page to Blogger?

If you would like to add a custom cookie policy page on Blogger, you can do so by following steps.You can write your own cookie policy page by including details of cookies used on your website. Or to save time, you may also use a cookie policy generator and include it in Blogger.

If you are using Blogger Blogspot, you might have noticed that Google redirects Blogger Blogspot sites to country specific URLs. For example, if I open this blog whose URL is techubber.blogspot.com, it gets redirected to techubber.blogspot.in, since I am from India. Similarly, a visitor from UK would see techubber.blogspot.co.uk and so on. You can find the reason from this update here why Google chose to implement country specific domain. In a nutshell, Google implemented country specific domains so that is a site need to be blocked in a certain country but made available on others.

Google released new themes for Blogger in 2017 and they are great! If you haven't seen them, check them out here - Check out new responsive Blogger themes released by Google! They are modern and elegant design.  I have already blogged on some posts related to the new Blogger themes which you can find from this link - Blogger Themes 2017.

Now, one thing I wanted to change in the new Blogger theme I have applied on this site was to display labels expanded. Yes, the new Blogger theme show all the labels collapsed. So, a user has to click on the title or drop down to see first few labels and then click on "Show More" to see all the labels selected during the widget setup. I wanted to display at least the first few labels at least.

If you are one of those people who use Blogger to blog and are bored of the same old themes, you might want to check out the new Blogger themes released by Blogger! Officially announced on the Official Blogger Blog here on 20 March 2017, there are four sets of new Blogger themes released. Each theme seems to have been designed with mobile and responsiveness in mind. They look sleek and modern.

In Blogger, the view on desktop computers and mobile devices are shown differently. By default, the template on mobile devices are stripped down and responsive. Not all sections or widgets displayed on desktop computers are visible on mobile devices. Most widgets manually added to Blogger will not be view-able on mobile devices. Adsense added from Blogger's Adsense widgets are visible however their display regions are only on the top and bottom of the page. Google Adsense code if added manually to the blog using Blogger HTML/JavaScript widget won't display on mobile devices. In order to show widgets visible on desktop to also show on mobile devices, including Google Adsense widgets, do the following changes.
